My absolute favorite comfort meal.
Ingredients:
Per 1-2 servings:
- 1/4 lb orzo (or other pasta of choice)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1.5 teaspoons black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated pecorino romano or parmesan
Instructions:

Cook orzo according to instructions and reserve ~1 cup of pasta water before draining.

In an pan, heat your butter and add pepper. Cook for a minute or two to toast the pepper.
- Add your orzo, plus cheese and 1/2 cup pasta water. Mix to incorporate, and add more pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with some more pepper and/or cheese, and enjoy!
